Enable or Disable Hibernate option in Windows 10
With Hibernate option, you can turn off your PC but apps stay open. When the PC is turn on, you're back to where you left off.
- Search and run "Power Options""
- Select "Choose what the power buttons do" on the left
- Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable"
- Scroll down to find the box of "Hibernate" under "Shutdown settings"
Install Xiaomi RedMi 2 (紅米手機2) USB and ADB driver, on Windows
To install RedMi 2 (紅米手機2) USB and ADB drivers, tested on Windows 10:
- Plug in your phone to PC, using USB cable. You will find a CD Driver, click to run the Setup.
- It will install the Xiaomi Assistance program, USB and ADB driver.
To enable USB debug, you have to allow USB debugging on your phone.
To enable ADB Wireless debugging, your PC and your phone should be in the same WiFi network:
- Switch to platform-tools directory, normally in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools"
- Run "adb devices", you should find the usb connected device.
- Run "adb tcpip 5555" to reset the tcpip connection.
- Run "adb connect <your phone's IP>" to connect adb with wireless
- Run "adb devices" again, you should find both the usb connected and WiFi connected devices.
- Now, you can remove the USB connection, and debug with ADB wirelessly.
- Plug in your phone to PC, using USB cable. You will find a CD Driver, click to run the Setup.

Check your Windows version using winver/System Information
To check the version of your running Windows, you can enter run "winver" in Command Prompt.
Or run "System Information" in Search box
Protect your privacy, disable laptop's built-in Webcam
In order to protect your privacy, it's suggested to disable your laptop's built-in Webcam if not in use.
To disable build-in webcam in Windows 10 (suppose work on other Windows)
1. Right click "This Computer", select "Manager" to open Computer Manager
2. Select "Device Manager" on left
3. Click to expand "Imaging devices"
4. Right click your build-in webcam, then select "Disable"
5. Re-boot if needed.
To enable your webcam, repeat the steps, and select "Enable" in step 4.

ADB (Android Debug Bridge) connect Android device via WiFi in Windows 10
You can connect ADB with Android devices via WiFi to develop apps.
You can find the adb tool in <sdk>/platform-tools/
in my case, it is in
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\platform-tools
To connect to Android devices, enter the command:
>adb connect 192.168.1.107
where 192.168.1.107 is the IP address of Android devices.
Most probably, cannot connect. Connect Android devices to PC with USB cable, wait it to be connected.
Enter the command to reset tcpip:
>adb tcpip 5555
Then connect again:
>adb connect 192.168.1.107
After connected, you can disconnect USB cable.

Fail to install Visual Studio Emulator for Android on Windows 10 Home
I tried to install Visual Studio Emulator for Android (https://www.visualstudio.com/explore/msft-android-emulator-vs) on Windows 10, but fail! Anybody can advise?

Check processor information with Coreinfo
Coreinfo is a command-line utility that shows you the mapping between logical processors and the physical processor, NUMA node, and socket on which they reside, as well as the cache’s assigned to each logical processor. It uses the Windows’ GetLogicalProcessorInformation function to obtain this information and prints it to the screen, representing a mapping to a logical processor with an asterisk e.g. ‘*’. Coreinfo is useful for gaining insight into the processor and cache topology of your system.

Move Android Emulator using keyboard, in Windows 10
My Android Emulator on Windows 10 always open with title bar hidden, cannot be moved using mouse.
To move it with keyboard shortcuts:
- Click to select Android Emulator window
- Press Alt + SPACE
- press m
- Up/Down/Left/Right to move the window.
Windows 10 Keyboard Shortcuts: WIN + Left/Right/Up/Down to snap active window
To snap active window Press and Hold WIN key and press Left/Right/Up/Down:
WIN + Left - snap window to left
WIN + Right - snap window to right
WIN + Up - snap window to up
